Bimbo presents its new bar for children and pre-teenagers: Power Kids

The product is a delicious puffed rice, peanuts and cocoa bar

that contains the proteins they need for their daily activities

The Power Kids bar is the one with the highest protein content in the market.

Mexico City, January 5th, del 2006 – Once again, Bimbo consolidates its position as leader in the Bars category by launching the new Power Kids bar, since it is the bar with the greatest amount of proteins in the market.

With this launching, the Bimbo bars product line will make inroads in the children and pre-teenagers market, making this bar a highly nutritional and attractive option for them. The product is a delicious puffed rice, peanuts and cocoa bar that contains the proteins they need for their daily activities.

José Manuel González, Bimbo Marketing Director, said: “we have distinguished ourselves in Bimbo by being an innovative brand; owing to all the changes in consumer life-styles, in bars we have found a practical, tasty and healthy way of eating that adapts perfectly to our consumers’ daily activities. Also, the children and pre-teenager segment is beginning to make bars part of their eating habits, especially at lunch time”.

Lastly he added: “our target market group is that of children and pre-teenagers, ages 7 to 12, who are especially active”.

Under the slogan: “Powerfully nutritious”, the new Power Kids bar will have as its nation-wide launching date the 6th of January. The advertising support for it will be flaps, posters, display strips and a TV spot. The creative work is in charge of FCB advertising agency.

Each package contains a 30 gram bar, at a price of $2.50 Mexican Pesos.
