This award distinguishes the company's participation in the export sector over the past years.

Chairmen and executives of institutions that have contributed to the formation of an export culture in Mexico, decided the winner of this year.

Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, June 20th 2013.- As part of its 52 Annual General Meeting, the Mexican Foreign Trade Council Noreste, AC, (COMCE as its acronym in spanish) distinguished Bimbo, SA by its high global levels of excellence and quality with the Exporting Merit Award "Rodolfo Gonzalez Garza" 2013 in the category of Large Corporation.

Through this award, COMCE Noreste, distinguishes manufacturing and assembly products companies for export and service providers to exportation, which with their work promote foreign trade, boosting the competitiveness of the region.

During the XIII Award Ceremony of Exporting Merit Award, attended by local authorities and distinguished local regional entrepreneurs, Mr. Mauricio Coronado Quintanilla, President of the Board of COMCE Noreste, said the bakery company distinguishes by compete successfully in the 19 countries where it has presence.

Meanwhile, upon receiving the award on behalf of Bimbo, SA, Alberto Oropesa, Exportations Manager of the company, noted that awards like this are due to the effort and commitment of all its associates. He also recalled that this award is a confirmation of their achievements not only on export, but also in the performance made in logistics and security throughout the value chain.

The evaluation committee that decided to grant with this award to Bimbo, was composed by personalities from public and private institutions in the region that have contributed to the formation of an export culture in the north of the country.

Oropesa said Grupo Bimbo has had a vocation to compete in global markets with the quality and innovation of its products and processes. This has led the company to have presence now in 19 countries, with very different markets but where we have consolidated our brand recognition, he said.
