Mexico City, March 23, 2006. - Today Grupo Bimbo, in the voice of its CEO, Daniel Servitje, reaffirmed its commitment with Mexican society to continue working intensely to offer practical scientifically backed options for the population to promote better life-styles. He made his statement before the Secretaries of Health, Education and Social Development, Dr. Julio Frenk, Mr. Reyes Tamez and Ms. Ana Teresa Aranda respectively, as well as several Governors, Congressmen and businessmen, stressing the fact that this is part of the “Alliance Towards a Healthy Life” effort (“Alianza por una Vida Saludable”), being implemented under the leadership of “CONMEXICO” and other entrepreneurial institutions and organizations.

Grupo Bimbo, leading company in the foods products industry, thus demonstrates its pioneering endeavors in obtaining specific health and nutritional benefits for the Mexican population. In turn, Ms. Patricia Villalobos, who has a Ph. D. in biotechnology and is Corporate Research and Development Director for Grupo Bimbo, explained: “the main objective of Grupo Bimbo in this area is to resort to every innovation in areas such as nutrition, food safety and sciences, in order to offer our consumers delicious, nutritious and healthy products.”
