Grupo Bimbo continues to support the commitment and work of the Red Cross in favor of Mexican society, with a donation of one million pesos, destined to different delegations of the institution in the country.
Historically, the Group has collaborated with the Red Cross in different ways, including monetarily, with donations in kind (an ambulance, bicycles, products, among others), and with the work made in conjunction when natural disasters have occurred in our country, through product donation for our affected brothers and with the loan of trucks and/or trailers of the company when necessary.
The firm has contributed with the Red Cross for several years, benefiting thousands of patients directly, and many more indirectly. Just last year, Grupo Bimbo supported 19 municipalities and delegations of the institution, so that they can continue to provide efficient care to the population lacking social security, through the pre-hospital and hospital ambulance service.
The donation was delivered today in the facilities of the Red Cross and was received by the National President of the institution, Mr. Fernando Suinaga Cárdenas, from the hands of Pilar Servitje, accompanied by Raúl Argüelles, Grupo Bimbo’s Chief Human Relations Officer and Martha Eugenia Hernández Morales, Director of Institutional Relations of Grupo Bimbo.
These type of alliances in favor of institutions such as the Red Cross form part of Grupo Bimbo’s Social Responsibility platform “Sembrando Juntos”, which is based on four pillars: Community, Wellbeing, Planet and Associates. Each pillar is focused on the construction of a positive and long-lasting relationship with society and with the planet. Our initiatives under the Community Pillar are aimed at contributing with the welfare of the communities in which we are present.
“In Grupo Bimbo, we care about protecting and supporting the communities where we operate. This is why we have integrated initiatives of this kind to our operations for more than 5 decades, in the countries where we are present”, said Raúl Argüelles.
