Grupo Bimbo will bring aid to areas affected by Hurricane

Grupo Bimbo started yesterday a journey of donations in coordination with the Federal Government and its various collection centers. The donations will be destined to cover the basics alimentation needs of the population affected by the rains in the state of Guerrero.

This journey began with the delivery of products in the collection center located in the Campo Marte, in Mexico City, and will be followed by their distribution through air and sea routes. The Mexican Army will provide support to reach the areas requiring priority assistance.

Raul Arguelles, VP of Personnel and Institutional Relations of Grupo Bimbo, highlighted the work of coordination between the company and the Federal Government to take the necessary assistance to the areas that have been affected by storms in recent days. "It is our priority to cooperate closely with all the resources we have available to support affected communities during the process of restoring the basic conditions for the population," said the executive.

In a parallel way and according to practices implemented in similar situations Grupo Bimbo, has set a voluntary collection among its collaborators, in which for every Mexican peso donated, the company will add another one, allocating the resources to the affected areas.
