Raul Arguelles, VP of Personnel and Institutional Relations of Grupo Bimbo, said that under the outbreak of the effects caused by the rains, the company has been able to establish communication with government institutions in the states of Guerrero, Veracruz, Tamaulipas and Sinaloa, to coordinate routes directly to get the support.

"This is a task that requires many hands, in Grupo Bimbo we have never spared no effort to support Mexico," said the executive.

The company announced the donation of more than 125 tons of bread and availability of its trailers to take them to the areas where they are required. This support is being handled through the National DIF, the various offices of the Ministry of Social Development and the National Red Cross.

Raul Argüelles stressed the importance of the participation of the residents of each of the affected communities in helping the aid to arrive quickly and effectively to its final destination. Bimbo’s commitment with Mexico has been a constant for the last 6 decades and yet, in the weeks to come, we will redouble the efforts of everybody who works at this company in order to implement actions to help the affected areas, he said.
