Grupo Bimbo reinforces its organizational structure

The new structure will enable the company to strengthen operations in the countries where it has presence, advancing towards accomplishing its 2015 vision.

In line with the expansion of the company, Grupo Bimbo announced changes in its organizational structure effective from today. These changes will strengthen the firm in the countries where it operates.

The company created a new Grupo Bimbo Senior Executive Vice-Presidency in charge of Javier González Franco, who will be responsible for the operations of the companies of the Group in Mexico: Bimbo Organization, Barcel Organization and El Globo, while also being in charge of the operations in Canada, once the purchase of Canada Bread is authorized and concluded. Mr. González Franco is Chemical Engineer by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and has over 35 years experience. In Grupo Bimbo, he has been Assistant Director General of Latin America Organization, Assistant Director General of Bimbo Organization, President of Barcel, S.A. de C.V. and, since 2008, President of Bimbo S.A. de C.V.

The Presidency of Bimbo S.A de C.V. will be in charge of Miguel Ángel Espinoza, who has been President of the Latin Sur Organization (LAS) since April 2011. Espinoza joined the Group in 1981 and, among other roles, has been President of the Barcel Organization and Commercial Vice-President of Bimbo S.A.

Finally, Raúl Obregón Servitje will assume the Presidency of the Latin Sur Organization. The executive, who joined the Group in November 1998, has been Corporate Sales Regional Manager, Sales Regional Manager in BBU, General Manager in Peru, National Accounts Vice-President for Bimbo Organization and, since September 2013, Corporate Sales Vice-President.

This new structure responds to the sustained growth of the company in recent years. Grupo Bimbo operates 144 plants, produces over 10,000 products and has a portfolio with more than 100 highly prestigious brands, as well as a distribution network comprising 52,000 routes and over 2.2 million points of sale.
