IDEAL S.A., company that belongs to the largest breading group in the world, Grupo Bimbo, celebrated its first stone ceremony for the new Distribution Center (CEDIS), which will supply 24 sales centers throughout Chile.
Grupo Bimbo, ratifies its commitment to global best practices by being recognized in the 2021 edition, and for five consecutive years, as one of the most ethical companies in the world according to the list prepared by The Ethisphere Institute
The list, made with the support of the main environmental organizations, includes people in academia, activists, politicians, scientists and entertainers, among others.
The new CEDIS is a point of reference in terms of sustainability. It generates 100% of the energy it consumes in a renewable way; it has rainwater collection, residual water use and electric transportation systems; and it got the Platinum LEED certification.
The biggest breading company in the world, Grupo Bimbo, a proudly Mexican company, turns 75 years old today, since that December 2nd of 1945, when the first fleet of 10 trucks – some new, some used – left the factory in the Santa María Insurgentes neighborhood of Mexico City to make the first delivery of the “Super- Bread Bimbo”.
