Super-Pan Bimbo breads became a new sensation in Mexico City markets because they were wrapped in cellophane. The practical, wholesome, fresh and delicious bread quickly won over Mexican palates.
Quality was key to its acceptance. But presenting it in transparent, sealed cellophane was of great importance since it allowed consumers to appreciate freshness with their own eyes, in the purchase moment, rather than hiding product in wax paper, the most common packaging at that time.
