I am deeply honored to have participated as a representative of Grupo Bimbo in the symbolic signing of the Declaration of Support for the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) at the Business Meeting for Sustainability of the Global Pact Mexico.

This significant event marks an important milestone for our company and reaffirms our commitment to promoting gender equality and equal development opportunities for all.

The signing of the UN Principles for the Women's Empowerment is a concrete manifestation of our commitment at the global level, to promoting gender equality, fair treatment of women and men in the workplace, and empowerment of women at work, in the marketplace, and in the community, among others.

We are proud to join this initiative globally by signing the Principles locally in countries such as Mexico, Uruguay, Peru, Argentina, and Chile last January 2024.

Through these principles, we are committed to meeting ambitious targets to achieve 40% female representation in leadership positions by 2030.

Our diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives include DEI seminars to raise employee awareness; the Leadership Circles program; the mentoring and coaching program to develop female leadership talent based on Sheryl Sandberg's Lean In methodology; and the establishment of a Central Committee on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging to monitor the strategy's goals and share best practices.

At Grupo Bimbo, we firmly believe that we can build a more sustainable and fair future for all through these actions. We will continue to promote the development of a more equitable, diverse, and inclusive world, contributing to Nourish a Better World.
