The Bimbo brand holds the 8th position in the most recent edition of the 30 most valuable brands in Mexico ranking, as well as the one with the highest value in the food industry.
Conducted by Millward Brown, the ranking takes into consideration the financial value, the contribution of the brand and its value. Additionally, for the brand to be eligible, it must fulfill one of the following four criteria: it must be listed in the stock exchange, report positive figures, be Latin American, and be owned by a parent company listed in the stock markets of the evaluated countries.
Millward Brown also takes into consideration other aspects, such as the impact and singularity the brand has in the consumer’s mind, its relative position against its competitors, its affinity with its consumers, and how they differentiate it from the competition.
For 70 years, under the commitment to meet the needs and preferences of its consumers, the Bimbo brand has since been characterized for making products of the highest quality and freshness. And as part of it, it has always been at the forefront by constantly innovating its product portfolio, through ongoing research conducted in its Innovation and Nutrition Institutes.
“We are proud to be a part of this ranking, because it reflects our everyday effort and commitment on behalf of our consumers. Furthermore, it is a motivation to continue delivering products of the highest quality and innovation to the tables of the Mexican and worldwide families,” stated Miguel Angel Espinoza, Bimbo Mexico President.
It is noteworthy that in the Millward Brown listing two more sister brands of the company are present: Marinela with the 17th position and Tía Rosa in the 29th, both of which have also been widely recognized in the Country.
Bimbo started operating in Mexico 70 years ago and it keeps strong ties with the communities where it is present. To this day, it is a global brand with presence in 22 countries of America, Asia and Europe.
