Our agreement to be a Global Partner of the Barcelona Soccer Club, and the Main Partner of the first women’s team of Barça, continue breaking down boundaries. Now it was Latin America's turn, who announce this association to consumers and media.

In addition, and as part of this initiative, the exclusive "Campeonas de Sueños" program for nine countries in the region was announced.

"Campeonas de Sueños" aims to train girls who want to practice this sport and study in some of the selected schools, whose location is close to some of Grupo Bimbo's bakeries in Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador. This plan will be carried out hand in hand with our Good Neighbor project.

Marcela España, VP of Marketing for Grupo Bimbo for Latin America Center, remarked: "This is the first time that Grupo Bimbo is linked to female football. We are very proud of our alliance with the Barcelona Football Club. This is an incredible opportunity to support schools for girls in the region through a social program." Marcela added: "We are committed to making a positive impact on society, generating greater opportunities for growth and development for girls, both globally and in the region, through the recognition of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the promotion of sport, good nutrition, physical activity, and value building. In addition, we are working to break stereotypes that still exist regarding women."

"Football is a sport that promotes professional and social development values. It inspires us to be better, to achieve what we dream of, and to be who we want to be. In Grupo Bimbo we want to continue inspiring and carrying out actions that help more women be the protagonists and champions of their dreams because we want to nourish a better world," said the executive.

On the other hand, Bryan Bachner, CEO for the Americas of FC Barcelona, said: "This agreement is a historic milestone, as our first female team will have an ally allowing us to take a step forward in the equality of women vs. men sports. In addition, we will work together to promote active and healthy living among our followers. I am proud to say that we are starting a new stage with Grupo Bimbo, which will allow us to continue consolidating our motto "more than a club," recognizing the power of sport to change the world.".

With this program, the company hopes to continue promoting the talent of female athletes in the region and the practice of healthy lifestyles.
