Grupo Bimbo awards and acknowledges its suppliers quality and excellence

Over 350 executives attended the awards event, representing 160 suppliers that render their services to Grupo Bimbo.

Grupo Bimbo, as it does every year, granted the Best Supplier Award (Mejor Proveedor del Año). The purpose of the award is to acknowledge the best suppliers of the world leading baking company which, turned into strategic partners, continuously supply inputs and provide services of the highest quality so it can make its products.

During the Annual Suppliers Meeting that brought together over 350 executives of 160 companies, Daniel Servitje, Grupo Bimbo CEO, awarded Alpezzi Chocolate, S.A. de C.V., as Bimbo Organization’s best supplier, while Industrializadora Oleofinos, S.A. de C.V., was awarded as the best supplier of the Barcel Organization.

Alpezzi Chocolate, S.A. de C.V. is a company that produces, sells and distributes chocolate and its by-products; Industrializadora Oleofinos, S.A. de C.V., on its part is devoted to the extraction of coconut oil and palm oil fractioning, as well as to refining, bleaching, deodorizing and inter-esterification of vegetable fats and oils. The two winning companies received the award as acknowledgement due to the excellence and quality of their products and services adding value to GB’s operations.

When granting the award, Daniel Servitje, expressed his satisfaction for having suppliers of products and services with proven quality. “Alpezzi Chocolate e Industrializadora Oleofinos are two strategic allies with which we share the same objective: satisfy our customers by offering them products of the highest quality”.

The senior executive noted that Grupo Bimbo establishes long-term relationships with its suppliers, privileging collaboration and joint work: “which, throughout the years, has allowed us to structure a well-integrated and commercially successful value chain”.

On their part, Enrique Guerrero Marín, Alpezzi Chocolate CEO, and Ignacio Pérez Morett, Industrializadora Oleofinos CEO, appreciated the distinction and expressed their pride and satisfaction for being co-responsible for Grupo Bimbo’s market success.

With this annual acknowledgement, Grupo Bimbo seeks to strengthen the collaboration links with its suppliers, in order to jointly explore new and innovative business opportunities.
