Did you know that your mental health is directly related to what happens in the workplace? October 10th is World Mental Health Day, the perfect time for us to expand our knowledge on the subject and become more aware of its impact on all aspects of our lives.

When your mind is healthy and you work in a positive environment, your productivity boosts, you can be your authentic self and your sense of belonging increases.

If you feel fulfilled, proud and bring a positive attitude to work, you will also feel more content with your personal life. On the other hand, if you are not happy at work, you won’t feel satisfied in your personal life either.

We all have the right to a safe and healthy work environment, fair workplace treatment, and equitable opportunities that enable our development. However, in the latest WHO country assessment, only 35% reported having a national program for promoting and preventing work-related mental health issues.

In Grupo Bimbo, we work every day to promote safety and wellness programs.

Change begins with you knowing and respecting our Global Safety and Wellness Policy, with which we protect our associates' physical and mental health.

As leaders, it is in our hands to build an environment that promotes safety and well-being and Diversity, Equity, & Belonging. These factors are crucial to fostering and maintaining mental health across our teams.

Look for ways to build stronger relationships with all associates and understand how they see their work, their needs, and what can be done to improve their work-life balance. Remember that in Grupo Bimbo, the person is at the center of everything we do, and the best thing you can do for anyone is to safeguard their safety and well-being.
