Grupo Bimbo, one of the most global mexican companies: Expansión
Grupo Bimbo was included in the ranking: “100 Global Mexicans” of Expansión magazine. In this list, which every year names the companies founded in the country and that have achieved to grow beyond the borders, Bimbo occupies the second position in the general ranking and the first in the food industry.
The analysis to determine the place on the list is done through a cross of metrics, which considers the number of plants, offices and collaborators the Mexican companies have outside the country.
Grupo Bimbo went up one position from last year’s ranking, going from third to second place. In this edition, it shares the top three with companies in the sectors of telecommunications and a cement.
Among the numbers highlighted by Grupo Bimbo at the closing of this edition of the magazine, some to be noted are:
- We are one of the three Mexican companies with the most presence abroad, since we are in 33 countries in four continents.
- We add a total of over 133 mil collaborators, generating nearly 60 thousand direct jobs outside of Mexico, positioning ourselves in the top three of this category.
