Grupo Bimbo received, for the 16th consecutive year, the Socially Responsible Company distinction

Grupo Bimbo, a Mexican company with a 70-year trajectory, received, for the 16thconsecutive year, the Empresa Socialmente Responsable distinction, granted by the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía, (Cemefi, for its acronym in Spanish) during the IX Encuentro Latinoamericano de Empresas Socialmente Responsables (IX Latin American Encounter of Socially Responsible Enterprises.)

Grupo Bimbo is part of the group of 10 companies that have received this acknowledgement since its beginning, 16 years ago.

This acknowledgment is granted to organizations due to their socially responsible practices and compliance with corporate social responsibility standards.

Under the Sembrando Juntos Sustainability platform, the Company focuses its strategy on four fundamental pillars: Wellbeing, Planet, Community and Associates, through specific actions and programs geared to make a contribution for the benefit of the people, the society and of the planet.

Raúl Argüelles, Chief Human Relations Officer, received the acknowledgement on behalf of Grupo Bimbo and conveyed a message in which he highlighted what has meant for the company participating in the process to get the distinction for 16 consecutive years.

This distinction acknowledges Grupo Bimbo Associates’ commitment that contributes to build a highly productive and deeply humane company.
