The new Net Zero Carbon commitment, part of Grupo Bimbo’s Baked for Nature sustainability effort, was developed following the Science Based Targets initiative’s framework.

The virtual edition of the Global Energy Race gathered more than 294 thousand runners in 112 countries. Once again, runners who registered had the opportunity to help those who need it the most.

Grupo Bimbo went up one position from last year’s ranking, going from third to second place. In this edition, it shares the top three with companies in the sectors of telecommunications and a cement.
Grupo Bimbo has Mexico’s biggest electric vehicle fleet and one of the largest in Latin America. The CEO shared that, nowadays, there are 1,300 units distributed in different points around the country.
As part of our commitment to protecting the environment, at Grupo Bimbo we found ourselves designing, manufacturing and further developing recycled plastic pallets.
• The 6th edition of the Global Energy Race will be held virtually and will be completely free, from Oct 4th to 10th, for runners throughout the world.
• As the case of past editions, Grupo Bimbo shall donate 20 slices of bread for each participant enrolled, regardless of the number of kilometers run.
• This year, the enrollment may be done with the new mobile app for the Global Energy Race, which can be downloaded free by all wishing to participate.
